Strategically architected elastomeric materials constrained near critical points yield extreme impact energy absorption for structures in which they are embedded. The cover image includes high‐speed video stills of drop experiments conducted to quantify the impact energy attenuation provided by specimens for the shells into which the specimens are inserted.
